My morning workout sparked my appetite. After a hot shower, I’m looking forward to breakfast…Damn, that’s right. No butler.

But as soon as I open the door, fragrant cooking aromas hit my nostrils. I follow my nose and arrive to the enticing vision of Ashlee. She’s wearing yoga pants and a big sweater, and humming as she bustles around the kitchen.

Damn! I know for a fact my brain is storing away the look of those yoga pants stretched across her firm ass for tomorrow’s wake-up call.

“Morning.”

She looks up and smiles. “Good morning, Jonathan. Now, I don’t have three michelin stars, like your Executive Chef, but I do a mean egg scramble…A good way to use up those spicy leftovers from yesterday.”

“Smells great.”

She throws me another smile. Obviously, a morning person.

“I haven’t seen Colin yet, and I got hungry.”

“Colin can’t get through. Roads are closed. So, we have to wait this storm out.”

“Okay, I guess we’ll definitely get some work done then.”

She pushes a plate of eggs my way. I pull up a stool and reach for a fork.

I see she’s even squeezed fresh orange juice.

“What’s all this? Are you trying to take people’s jobs again?” It’s supposed to be a joke but her eyebrows rocket upwards and she stares at me hard.

“Hm. I think taking people’s jobs is your specialty, not mine…”

Oh, here we go again.

“Speaking of which, I organized a meeting with Travis, the manager, this morning, but it sounds like we’ll have to do it online instead.”

“I know who Travis is…” I load a forkful of her mixed egg creation into my mouth. “This is excellent by the way, thanks.”

But those eyebrows are up again.

“Oh, I’m glad you remember Travis. Shame you don’t remember Colin after almost nine years working here.”

Christ. Did she deliberately reel me in with those yoga pants and spicy breakfast just to bust my balls? This woman is relentless.
